Jeff Loughary holds a BA in French and Spanish from the College of the Ozarks (2003), an MA in Teaching from the University of Utah (2006), and an MS in English Language Teaching and Literacy Education from Missouri State University (2023). He is a doctoral student in Composition and Applied Linguistics at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has been teaching since 2006 and has Missouri K12 teaching endorsements in French, Spanish, and English Learners.

For Springfield Public Schools, Jeff served as Curriculum Development Committee Chair for World Languages and taught French for the International Baccalaureate Programme at Central High School.

Currently at Missouri State University, Jeff teaches French, English, and Teacher Education. He assists with the supervision of student teachers and serves as the department liaison for high school dual credit programs in Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese across Missouri.

 

Jeff is also the current President of the Foreign Language Association of Missouri and works as a consultant for the Show Me Multiliteracy Project helping to serve multilingual learners.
